As the Head Coach for the Santa Clara Womens tennis team, I understand the importance of a well designed strength and conditioning program to not only help keep my players healthy, but to also improve their performance on the tennis court. I chose to work with Shyam, who runs Zenith Strength as he has an extensive background working with athletes and understands the needs of tennis players, both from an injury preventative and performance enhancement view point. He incorporated specific quickness and explosive drills utilizing bands to work specific tennis movements such as band resisted lateral push offs, cross over steps and first step acceleration; also working in the weight room to improve my players strength, conditioning and mobility. He is very detailed oriented and stresses the importance of proper form and movement patterns to reduce potential injuries. I was very impressed with the program Shyam put together and highly recommend him if you are a tennis player looking to improve your performance on the court and reduce your risk of getting injured,

When I started working with Shyam, I was just coming off an injury to my calf. I was extremely out of shape and my tennis game was suffering as a result. The first thing that I look for in a strength and fitness coach is specific tennis knowledge and Shyam has it. After 3 months of personalized individual workouts as well as carefully observing our full time program complete the first semester in Zenith Strength it is clear that Shyam is very knowledgeable for tennis specific athletic development.
Shyam has been involved with tennis for a over a decade and he knows the intricacies of developing strength, agility, explosiveness, stabilization and most importantly injury prevention as it pertains to tennis.

Training at Zenith Strength was one of the best decisions I had made in my tennis career. Struggling through a few months of knee pain, Shyam not only helped me understand why my knees had issues, but also helped alleviate the weakness in my lower body through a vigorous strengthening program.

I first started working out with Shyam because I wanted to start playing sports again after knee surgery a few years ago. During the past year I've gotten in great shape, lost a good amount of weight and started playing basketball again in a large part due to my workouts with Shyam. He makes workouts both challenging and interesting, which is really important for keeping me on a regular workout schedule. I especially appreciate that Shyam keeps up on current trends and continues to introduce new exercises to my workouts.

Strength and learning the correct movement patterns are the cornerstone of every program and we believe that everyone, especially athletes, need to focus their training on improving these skills.
The client is responsible for achieving the results, and it takes an enormous amount of discipline, determination and hard work. But at Zenith Strength, we use techniques to soften the blow by making workouts fun, challenging, and a bit different each time. Private Training
Personal Training at Zenith Strength & Conditioning is an excellent option for someone who prefers a 1:1 coaching relationship as their primary form of training or for people with variable schedules - including athletes, executives and stay-at-home mothers. Our highly qualified coaches personalize your workout so it caters to your individual needs and goals.
Semi-Private Training
Our semi-private, or small group, training guarantees an athlete-to-coach ratio of no more than 4:1 and in most cases, closer to 3:1.
All of our clients receive individualized programs based on the results of an initial one-on-one assessment. From here, they're coached in a small group setting and put into an environment in which they can succeed and have fun. We also regularly monitor progress to ensure that our athletes are continually improving.
